Welcome to Our School

Where Every Individual Matters to Us

Where Children Love to Learn & Play

Cobham Primary School offers a warm welcome to our website.

Our motto Caring Proud Successful underpins our entire ethos. Our outstanding school is at the heart of its community and we believe that happy children learn best in a safe & caring environment. We strive to make learning fun and our school is a place where children love to learn and take pride in their achievements, both academically and socially.

We are preparing our children for the rest of their lives; to seek challenges and make excellent academic, personal and social progress.

CARING

We instill in our children the importance of caring for others, caring for the school community and the world beyond our local community. We teach the children to take care of themselves, both physically and mentally and we aim to help them develop a positive growth mindset in all they that do.

PROUD

We are proud of who we are and of each other. We celebrate each others' talents and successes every day. We love coming to school and learning to be the best that we can be.

SUCCESSFUL

Every child, class and teacher works incredibly hard to ensure that each and every year is a successful one and that we continue to learn through our seven years at Cobham.

Last Day of 2021/22

21st July, 2022

What a day! It is a strange one – full of so many mixed emotions – sadness at it being our Year 6’s last day and yet euphoria at making it through our first year in school – in its entirety – for a while.

What they say...

Can I also take this opportunity to say that and your staff are doing a wonderful job. Cobham primary school has a great reputation and it is definitely holding up to it. J is only in reception but she gets so much work to keep her busy. She is learning so much even though she is at home. The fact that the school teachers are doing zoom sessions is great. And for a headteacher to be doing zoom sessions is even great. A lot of my friends and family members with kids in primary school are getting nothing to this level. Honestly hats off to you guys, you are all amazing people and doing a great job for your kids.

Year R Parent , 2021

The outstanding quality of teaching and learning in the Reception class means that Cobham children get off to an excellent start. This is built on so that, in each key stage, pupils make very good progress and become excellent readers, writers and mathematicians.

Ofsted Report

Cobham is a close knit school whereby the pupils are encouraged to look after each other. It has a family environment that benefits the youngest and encourages thoughtfulness and responsibility in the oldest children.

Parent Survey

Pupils’ behaviour and safety are outstanding. Excellent personal, spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is at the heart of the school’s success and underpins all of the school’s strengths.

Ofsted Report

Cobham has many strengths; a strong ethos to learning, a real feel of each child being important from Mrs S, love the way she treats the children. A strong communication with home, PTA, Governors, excellent ICT and variety of events to enrich learning.

Parent Survey

The amazing extra curricular activities that the children receive. I believe that every child is treated as an individual and they are given the best learning experience possible.

Parent Survey

Headteacher is very involved with the children. Very impressive to see her on the gate in the mornings and even doing crossing patrol duties. All staff seem friendly and caring. The school is neat and tidy and well cared for. Excellent communication via email and apps.

Parent Survey

I feel the school as a whole is very caring and nurturing. Each child is seen as an individual and I feel it is important to all staff that each child is happy and settled.

Parent Survey

The drive, enthusiasm and vision of the head teacher has transformed the school from a good, high-achieving school into an outstanding one. As a result, leaders, staff, pupils, parents and carers are rightly proud of the school and fully committed to its motto of, ‘Caring, Proud, Successful’.

Ofsted Report

You get a sense that everyone at Cobham truly cares about the children. There is a family atmosphere and the children feel confident and safe. We couldn’t be happier with the progress our child has already made during their short time at Cobham.

 Parent Survey

The strong emphasis on developing a wide range of interests and talents means that pupils also achieve very well in other subjects such as science, music, physical education, humanities and the arts. Overall, therefore, pupils’ achievement is outstanding.
