Welcome Back to the Summer Terms 2018
Dear Parents, Children, Team and Governors,
I hope you all had a wonderful break and that Easter was full of fun and that it was a happy, family time. It was a great rest and we now look forward to the next two terms! This year is flying by and there is much to do, learn and experience! The children do love the summer months as the weather improves and they have more space to play; as well as many fun learning opportunities!
Our school improvement areas for the year are on track! Our aims back in September 17 were to focus upon the Unity part of our TRUST values, provide greater opportunities for ‘independent learning’, aim to have ‘Talk Less Teaching strategies’ in class every day, high standards of English and Maths across all areas of the curriculum as well as the aspirational but certainly achievable target of 98% attendance for the whole school. Our whole school figure currently stands at 97.8% so a massive thank you to you all for ensuring that the children have the very best opportunity to learn to their full potential and to the children who show great determination and love for school.
Reports and Parent Survey!
Thank you to those of you who have returned the report comment forms at the end of last term. Please return the forms if you have not yet done so. Also a massive thank you to everyone that completed the parent survey during the parent evening sessions. The findings have been collated and the results and comments will be shared with you in due course.
