Welcome back to Term 6
Dear Families,
Welcome back to our final term of the year! Crazy that I am writing that! It’s flown by!
When you receive this Year 5 and I will be at Carroty Wood with Dr Crowther, Miss Pretious and Mr Simmons – so I hope everyone has a great first day back!
Our Jigsaw theme this term for the whole school is ‘Changing Me’ and all junior classes have much to learn about the body and its physical changes, how babies are made and important life decisions. There will no doubt be lots of questions and each class teacher will provide you with more details very soon, so that you are prepared for any questions!
An ex Governor received an ‘anonymous email’ regarding entrance and exit arrangements at the start and end of the school day. From this term, we are happy for you to enter the site at any gate that is convenient for you. Two gates will be open – the infant gate nearest the hall and the junior double gate onto the junior playground. Year R will now enter via their back door from the infant playground! (Not at the front of the school!) At the end of the day, the same gates will be opened at 3.05pm and you can wait in which ever playground is necessary. Please stay away from the classrooms and wait at the back of the playgrounds so that children and the team can see you as they come out. This will no doubt take a few days to become routine – no right or wrong and certainly no stressing. This will hopefully sort the worry about narrow paths and waiting by a busy road.

Thursday 23rd June – Class 2 off to Stratford East Theatre in the afternoon
Friday 24th June – BOUNCE DAY – Packed lunches only!
Tuesday 5th July – Teddy Bear Picnic Day £1 – Packed lunches Only!
Wednesday 6th July pm – KS2 Production at Meopham Secondary
Friday 8th July – Donut Day – PTA Fundraiser! Yum!
Monday 11th and Wednesday 13th July – Parent’s Meetings
Tuesday 12th July – Year 6 Gala Dinner (More details will follow!)
Friday 15th July – Bring a Bottle/Stay and Share 2.30pm/Refreshments from 2pm
Monday 18th July – Rock Steady performance to Parents
Thursday 21st July – Last Day of the School Year
