Welcome Back to Term 4

Welcome back to Term 4. Hope you all managed to enjoy the lovely weather during the week!
Stay and Play from 2pm in each classroom. We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible tomorrow.
BOOK WEEK!
We have lots of fun things planned for the term – not least Book Week which starts next Monday 4th March. There is a ‘Book Swap’ on Monday afternoon. Each class are lucky enough to be part of workshops on Tuesday by Benjamin Scott, the writer of the Star Fighters series. The children will love these sessions. Also Thursday 7th March is one of the best days of the year as it is World Book Day. It is always a fantastic assembly, both admiring the costume creations as well as giving away some prizes. On Friday, children will have already invited a special person in to school to read with them from 9.05-9.40am. We cannot wait for next week!
NUT BAN
Over the last few years we have increasing numbers of children with nut allergies. I know that some nut snacks can be very healthy and a great addition to a child’s lunchbox. However to protect and safeguard against what is a life threatening condition for our children, we are now requesting that nuts of any kind are not part of a lunch box or a snack. Also a gentle reminder that grapes need to be cut in half to prevent choking.
THANK YOU!
Thank you to the many of you who completed the Parent Survey at our recent Parents’ Evenings. Its details and comments will be shared with you and all of the suggestions for improvement will be discussed by the team and Governors this term.
GOVERNORS
Governor Nominations must be in school NO LATER than Friday 1st March.
CLUBS
All clubs start back this week but please remember that there is no KS2 choir this term.
ATTENDANCE
Our attendance figure currently is 98% with 64 children having 100% attendance this year so far! This is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who tries hard to ensure that their child has great levels of attendance. It certainly impacts positively upon their progress. Thank you!
Here’s to a great Spring Term.
Kind regards,
Mrs Saunders
