Welcome Back to 2023!

welcome back cobham primary newsletter

I truly hope that all my amazing families had the very best Christmas. I hope it was full of laughter and joy. I am certain that the children cannot wait to be back in school on Wednesday! They love telling us about their Christmas break more than any other. A massive thank you to you all for the cards and many gifts that I received at the end of term. As always you are too kind and too generous – a huge thank you!

What can 2023 bring?

Hopefully some good health and happiness for us all. As I have got older, I really have learnt to appreciate the ‘moments’ of silence – whether that’s literal or just in my own head! Time to stop and process and take stock of how lucky I am. This time of year is always so tough for everyone and January always stretches out forebodingly in front of us – but each day that we get through – is a day closer to Spring!!! My favourite season.

We have much to achieve this year and we are on the right track. Our children are making great progress and we often see the children really begin to fly over the next two terms!

Here’s to a great start to 2023.

For future info based on the Parent Survey Comments – the parent meetings at the end of Term 4 (just before Easter) will be via Zoom as many of you felt these were more convenient – we will alternate the meetings. July meetings will be face to face! Also a comment was made on the survey about how we spend some aspects of our funding at Cobham – on our school website there are documents relating to our Sports Premium Funding and Pupil Premium Funding. They are updated annually for your information!

I am looking forward to welcoming the children back to school on Wednesday.

I will also confirm via email by the end of this week, if your child has received a space at our following clubs this term………..

Year 1 & Year 2 Art Club (Tuesdays)

Year 3 & Year 4 Art Club (Mondays)

Year 1-6 Choir Club (Tuesdays)

KS2 Card Game Club (Thursdays)

All of which begin next week and all are FULL!

Premier Sports starts THIS week on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th January and they will know if you have signed up! We do not know who you are yet!

Centre Stage (Mondays) and Hannah May’s (Tuesdays) clubs– you should have or you need to contact them directly if you haven’t yet, as they start next week too.

All details were sent before Christmas.

Hope everyone has a great week and see you all on Wednesday!
