Updates and info!
I hope you all had a great weekend! We are very much looking forward to our Royal Wedding Afternoon Tea this Friday 18th May. The children will start their party at 1pm and of course you are all invited to join us from 2.15pm. The children need a packed lunch, but some scones, brownies, goodies and additional bits and bobs will make it a fun afternoon! Thank you to the many of you who have contributed the £5. If you haven’t done so yet, then please do. We currently have not recouped what we have spent to make it a fun afternoon. Events such as these are truly my favourite, as it is a chance to get together as a whole school and make some great memories. There will be some royal faces in the audience too!
You are all welcome to join us from 2.15pm (access via the gate by the school hall). Pop into the hall for a cuppa and a slice of cake (any donations would be most gratefully received on the day) and for those not driving, a glass of prosecco can be bought from the PTA. The children can wear red, white and blue and if they really want to go all out, a dapper suit and a posh frock is also perfectly fabulous! The children will sing a rousing national anthem and the amazing KS2 choir, led by Miss Smith, will entertain us too! Do come along! The forecast, so far, is great!
Parking, Dogs and Safety
It has been brought to my attention that at the end of the day, usually after school clubs, some children and parents are walking through the staff car park. Please do not use this car park as a thoroughfare- my team and myself are concerned that as we leave at the end of the day, we could cause an accident! Children most definitely are not easy to see in the rear view mirror and we have had a near miss already.
Also our four legged friends are being ‘parked up’ along the fence of the small car-park behind the hall. Please can they be moved away from the entrance to this car park. We have visitors, club leaders arriving around 3.15pm and they are worried about hitting a dog. Tie them along the far side fence, away from moving vehicles please. Again, I would hate to have to tell any of our children that their dog has been injured or even worse.
Good luck to our Year 6s this week who are taking their end of KS2 SATS. They are more than ready for the challenges that they face! They have worked incredibly hard to get to this point as, have the Year 6 team and all those before them. We could not be more proud of them all.
