Welcome back to a new school year!
A huge and warm massive welcome back to school! It was so lovely to see you and the children this morning. I truly hope that you have all had a wonderful summer break and that everyone had some chilled and down time from the daily routines. But I am so glad to be back!
Last Day of 2021/22
What a day! It is a strange one – full of so many mixed emotions – sadness at it being our Year 6’s last day and yet euphoria at making it through our first year in school – in its entirety – for a while.
Welcome back to Term 6
Welcome back to our final term of the year! Crazy that I am writing that! It’s flown by!
Jubilee Celebrations – What an afternoon!
I hope the children came home and talked about the wonderful afternoon that we all had! The sun came out! The hats looked amazing! Much flag waving and munching was done by all!
Quickstick Hockey
Some of Year 5 and 6 children took part in a Quickstick Hockey competition on Thursday 21st April at Gravesend Rugby Club. Our children were proud to represent Cobham at the event. They played amazingly as a team and loved participating in this event.

Hope everyone has had a great break and had a chance to relax, chill and take a breath! This term is another busy one and it will no doubt fly by! I hope everyone was thrilled with the children’s amazing annual school reports!
Sponsored Read – Thank You!
A huge thank you to everyone who attended this afternoon. It was so lovely to see you all. The children loved parading their beautiful bonnets in front of you! They were simply amazing!
So, so proud!
What a week we are having! Yesterday’s Termly Trophy assembly was just fantastic. First one ‘live’ for 2 years! We have also just been entertained for over an hour with Cobham’s Talent Show for 2022. One of the my favourite events.
Bits and Bobs
The children look great in their number and shape outfits today! Thanks for supporting the day! They are having a great week!

Ten children from years 5 and 6 represented Cobham at the Take Pride Basketball Competition on Thursday at Northfleet Technology College.
Welcome back to Term 4
Hope half term was full of fun, making memories and some relaxing. I love this term as the mornings and evenings get lighter and it is simply a term full of promise. The children will have a great time learning – whilst having fun!
End of Term Newsletter
The last week of term is here! How that happened I do not know! But it has been an incredibly tough term for many of you and us. I hope everyone is OK and that we can look to the Spring coming.
Children thanked for supporting Kent Refugees
Thanks received for money raised by children to help the KRAN charity who support young refugees in Kent, including those who visited the school in December.
How to stay safe online at Cobham
As part of teaching the children about Online Safety at Cobham, we also like to keep you updated about current Online Safety issues for children of all ages. Please take the time to visit the sites and read the guides to help keep us all safe online!

In response to Year 4’s letters to the Prime Minister about plastic pollution the children have received this reply from Downing Street.
Dreams and Goals
This term our whole school Jigsaw PSHE theme is ‘Dreams and Goals.’ A child from each class shared their own dreams for 2022 as well as all my teachers! Very interesting indeed! Ask the children about them. We all look forward to finding out more about every child’s dreams and goals as we make our way through the learning in this subject.
‘Reading is the gateway for children, that makes all other learning possible.’
We have had a huge focus on Reading in recent months at Cobham. The entire team have undergone extensive training in the last few months and reading is the single most important thing you can do at home to support your child’s learning.
Welcome Back to 2022 from Cobham!
Welcome back to 2022! I truly hope that all our families and team members had the most wonderful Christmas and New Year and that it made up for some of the disappointment of last year.
A few bits!
This term is flying by and I cannot believe all that we need to fit in during the next two weeks.
Welcome back to Term 2!
I hope that everyone had a great week! This term is always an incredibly busy one, but we know the children love it as we head towards Christmas. We once again, have some brilliant things planned and I hope the children love their learning and all the enrichment activities on top!
