PTA Update and Request
Dear Parents and Carers
A warm welcome back to school and the start of the winter term. The run up to Christmas is inevitably hectic for all young families so the PTA has decided to contact you early regarding the Valentines ball next year.
If you haven’t already, please save the date: Saturday 23rd February 2019. Tickets will go on sale shortly, usual process of a £10 deposit per ticket with the balance paid next year.
We have a tough target but with your help, we’re confident of beating the £12,500 needed to pay for the outdoor gym equipment as well as our usual funding for the children.
The Valentines Ball is our biggest event, last year we raised over £4,000.00 which was great, thank you all again so much for your generosity.
This year we thought we’d ask in advance of the ball for support so that we might do even better in 2019. The usual format is an auction to get the fund raising started (after a great dinner) your generosity last year with items was overwhelming, the gift baskets looked amazing and raised a lot of money. Naturally we’ll be doing the same again this year.
If we are able to add a few larger type items then this should boost the result significantly and help us hit the target sooner. There is a rumour that the odd holiday home might be auctioned off for a week or two and it might also be possible to get donations for auction from parents own companies or even their employers.
The PTA is a registered charity so it should qualify for larger organisation’s gift rules.
If you are able to help with a donation or can persuade (in the nicest way obviously) any friends or family to donate something which we might be able to auction, we’d be delighted to receive to raise funds for the school.
Remember, every penny we raise goes straight to the PTA ad 100% of those funds goes straight to the school. If you’d like to help please pop a note into the school office or email us on: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
