Pupil Premium Funding
Every year, Cobham receives an additional amount of money to support some of our children’s learning via a Pupil Premium Grant.
We use this money to fund key intervention programmes such as Better Reading Partnership, BEAM, Clever Fingers, Social Skills groups, Time to Care & Speech and Language support. We have 3 additional teaching assistants (alongside a full time TA in every class) who provide much of these interventions which are above and beyond our normal quality first teaching and learning. Children make good progress based on these different interventions.
Objectives in Spending PPG:
- To raise literacy levels with a particular focus on reading.
- To improve children’s communication skills.
- To provide opportunities for children to talk about their worries and concerns
- To increase children’s levels of spatial awareness and both fine and gross motor skills.
