Last Day at Cobham!

Dear Children, Families, Teaching Team and Governors,

What a year we have had and my how it has flown by! I am incredibly proud of every child and all of my amazing team members. Everyone has worked incredibly hard to ensure that all our fabulous children have made progress academically but also as little people. We are honoured and feel privileged to have some of the politest, kindest, most enthusiastic and hard working children that any school could wish for. We are lucky to have them!

It has been a tough year both professionally and personally and the children and my Cobham team (and family!) have made each day worth it. The school’s results this year again have been excellent and this is testament to the outstanding teaching that the children experience each day. The whole team is supremely dedicated and the results reflect the children’s amazing hard work and efforts, as well as the teams.

It is a sad day today. We are losing Miss Hammond who has been a great addition to the team here and to the teaching profession in her first year with us. We will miss her dearly and wish her all the best in her new school.

We are of course losing Miss Tyler, who is moving on to a new adventure at Shorne. Miss Tyler has been at Cobham for 11 years and has been a great team member. She has worked in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and supported many of our younger children very early on in their learning journey. She, like all of us who have been here that long (!) have grown in those years and I can certainly say that Shorne will be very lucky to have her. We will all miss her dearly, but hope that we still get to keep in touch, as she and her two gorgeous children are very much part of Cobham. Good luck Bek on behalf of all of us! Go rock it!

All that is left for me to write is thank you to everyone associated with Cobham. Thank you for all your support, dedication, laughter and kindness. I hope all our families and children have a great summer holiday. We really are a remarkable school, with fantastic children. My last heartfelt and deep thanks has to go to my team, who simply I am blessed to have. Love you all. You deserve an amazing break. Recharge those batteries. Spend time with your own children, families and friends. See you back in September, ready to do it all again  – bigger and better!

Much love
