Happy New Year
Dear Children, Parents, Staff & Governors,
Welcome back! A very happy 2020 is wished for each and every one of you. I hope that Christmas was a time of some fun & relaxation with family and friends.
A massive thank you for the many gifts that I received. I was truly spoilt and cannot thank you enough for the kind words that were extended too. The wine has been supped, the chocolates have been shared and munched, the smellies have been tried and tested, vouchers are waiting to be spent, handbags and scarves have been used already. So you can see that I was a very lucky lady! Thank you so much.
Farewells and Hellos!
We said a very sad farewell to Mrs Jones on the last day of term but know that she is already having fun! She is ski-ing currently!
Miss Courtney today has started her role as a teaching assistant and we look forward to supporting her in this new role.
Miss Finelli became Mrs Brooker over the holiday! She looked utterly gorgeous and we wish her and Mr Brooker a wonderful 2020 and beyond!
Miss Styles has become Year 1’s TA and Mrs James continues to be Year 2’s TA.
Mrs Resoda will be returning to Cobham part – time at the end of this term. We cannot wait to welcome her back!
Aims and goals
I love this time of year as it is another chance to make promises to ourselves and to each other about trying to be even better people in 2020. I found a quote that I thought was quite apt. ‘My goal is not to be better than anyone else, but to be better than I used to be.’ The children know that I love sharing little quotes with them and this links brilliantly to our over arching theme for the year which is ‘ To be the best that WE can be.’
The children have worked hard during the first two terms of the year and they will continue to be guided, supported and taught well to reach their full potential. Attendance was hit quite hard towards the end of last term with sickness and other viruses. I hope the children are recovered and ready for the challenges of the new year and new term!
