First Day Back at Cobham 2021/22
Dearest Families,
It was so lovely to see you all today and we have had a great first day back! I hope the children return home this afternoon feeling less anxious than maybe they did at the start of the day! We have loved having them back!
We always have plans and aims each year to focus on whole school areas for development and we are aiming to make even greater leaps in teaching phonics, spelling and naturally linked to both of those – reading! We also have a new PSHE curriculum which I think the children will love, which I will be introducing to them next week in assembly! We will be challenging the children across all subjects even more ever too and they will become ‘masters’ of their learning!! We will also be renewing our focus on teaching our children the explicit links between the skills, knowledge and concepts in all areas of the curriculum. It’s all about giving children the hooks to see how all their learning links together! No mean feat! But we are on it! As always, lots to work upon throughout the year – we never sit back.

Tuesday 14th September – Meet and Greet (Year 1 – 6) via Zoom 1.30pm – Details to follow
Thursday 16th September – Panto coming to Cobham!
Friday 17th September – Bounce Day!
Friday 17th September – Cobham Car Boot Fayre 2.30pm – 4.30pm £10 a pitch – let me know if you would like to reserve a pitch ASAP!
Friday 24th September- Reception Family Picnic and Meeting at 12 midday
Thursday 7th October – Roots to Food for Year 1-6
Monday 11th October – SEN Pupil Progress Parent Meeting via Zoom from 1.30pm -How to book will be sent out later in the term
Tuesday 19th October – Pupil Progress Parent Meeting via Zoom from 1.30pm – -How to book will be sent out later in the term
Monday 27th September – Travelling Book Fair at Cobham all week. Usually in the infant playground or school hall, dependent on weather!
SPORTS DAY – WEDNESDAY 22ND JUNE 10.30am (Don’t laugh! I always get asked in term 1!)
Great news!
Mrs Resoda is about to add to her already beautiful family with Bubba No 2! We are incredibly excited for her and her family! Wonderful news!
