Fallen Tree Update

Dear Parents, Staff & Governors

Over half term week, we had an amazing group of professionals remove our fallen tree.

After three different experts inspected the tree it was agreed by Gravesham Council Conservation Team that under their dead, dying and dangerous criteria the whole tree had to be removed.

I have passed on a massive thank you to the tree surgeon, Jerry Edwards his colleague Will – who carved out the most fantastic throne from the trunk of the tree (if you haven’t seen it, please go and have a look!  Photo attached!) and Jonathan Ireland who is the Area Ranger for the National Trust at Cobham Woods and Mausoleum.  They worked non-stop all day cutting and clearing the tree until early evening and left the site perfectly safe and ready for the children to return this week.

I would highly recommend Jerry if anyone needs any tree work carried out or advice, just let me know and I’ll happily pass on his telephone number.
