Bits and Bobs
The children look great in their number and shape outfits today! Thanks for supporting the day! They are having a great week!
The whole school completed ‘Walk a Mile’ today! It was 3567 steps! 10,000 for Year R!!! 🙂
Year 4 had a PE lesson, so didn’t join us!
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible this afternoon! The children are looking forward to it! Hall gate!
Tomorrow – the children will make their Mother’s Day gifts with the PTA during the day! Please collect your children from the usual places at the end of the day and then make your way to the infant playground, where the gifts will be ready for collection.
Sponsored READ all week! Let’s get the kids reading lots this week! Even more than ever! Sponsorship raised will be directly spent on replenishing the children’s book corners in each classroom! So huge thanks in advance!
Decorated eggs to the hall first thing in the morning! Tables will be laid – clearly marked for each class – the children can place them with their class! Can everyone make sure that the child’s name is obvious somewhere on the design! If you forget on Monday, Tuesday morning will be the last chance to lay them on the tables before they are judged by Mrs Kelly!
There is a Rock Steady Concert at 10am in the school hall. Those parents attending – please head to the hall back gate and we will let you in about 9.50am!
At 2.30pm in the hall will be our Carotty Wood residential meeting for Years 4 and 5 parents. I will open the hall gate at 2.20pm!
Tuesday 29th 2.30pm Year R’s Stay and Play – please come to the front gate where you drop off the children usually -again the gate will be opened just before!
Easter Lunch! Yum!
BRING A BOTTLE – to the hall/ Wear non uniform!
Annual School Reports (Year 1-6) sent to you today!
Children will need a hard boiled egg to participate in the egg rolling competition! They will also participate in an egg hunt! Nothing is needed for this! We have everything and dietary requirements have been considered!
Plus wear/bring their Easter Bonnets to school ready for the parade that will begin at 2.30pm. The hall gate will be open from 1.30pm for you to purchase refreshments in the hall and try the bottle tombola! All money raised will go towards our fabulous Year 6 Leaver’s Party! So do bring plenty of change!
Please stay in the infant playground and hall until we have the children ready on the junior playground. I will call you over when we are ready for the parade! (Weather forecast looks OK – ish!) We will go ahead no matter what!
Please only use the disabled toilet if required which is located in the toilet block adjacent to the hall! Do NOT use the children’s toilets.
We also had a good supply of second hand school uniform donated for resale so thank you very much!
Ages 5-6 and 7-8 have been a popular size and we have a few items in the 3-4 and 11-12 age ranges too – all items are £1.00.
The items will be available for you to browse at the Easter Bonnet event on the infant playground with school ties for sale too. They are optional for our junior children only (as long as they can tie a tie and undo as the team will not be able to for PE or other activities). They are £3.00 each.
Please ensure you relabel any items you purchase as we do try and ensure items of clothing are returned to children if left on the playground for instance and could prove confusing if we try and return to the wrong child!
We will also have lost property displayed out on the infant playground as again we have accumulated a lot of unnamed clothing so please reclaim anything you see that belongs to your child.
Think that is it! Think this list is more for me than you!
Hope everyone gets a chance to be outside today! Glorious!
‘Turn your face towards the sun and let the shadows fall behind you.’
Many thanks as always for your support!
The children have had a great term and next week will be lovely!
